But it now seems to have collapsed, so they have approached Chris Moore with an offer. Terms were drawn up very quickly and it’s now down to Chris Moore and his willingness to do business. These people will not be pushed around or messed about – the deal will either happen quickly, or not at all. At most football clubs, I would be 90% confident of a takeover happening in the next 24 hours. Friday’s extraordinary general meeting has also been cancelled as there is a legal obligation to give shareholders 21 days notice of any such meeting, which did not happen.
