Latest on the Norwegian deal

The Norwegian consortium are continuing to attempt to wrench the club away from Chris Moore. After the previous offer was rejected they swung into action and a spokesman said, “They kept away because the other deal was well advanced and looked as though it would be accepted. But it now seems to have collapsed, so they have approached Chris Moore with an offer. Terms were drawn up very quickly and it’s now down to Chris Moore and his willingness to do business. These people will not be pushed around or messed about – the deal will either happen quickly, or not at all. At most football clubs, I would be 90% confident of a takeover happening in the next 24 hours. The circumstances at Oldham appear to be different, but I’m still hopeful of it going through.”

Mr. Moore is losing credibility on a daily basis and now completely dismisses Sean Jarvis and Neil Joy’s previous offer. Friday’s extraordinary general meeting has also been cancelled as there is a legal obligation to give shareholders 21 days notice of any such meeting, which did not happen.
