Killen injured again!

Injury stricken striker Chris Killen is yet again back on the treatment table. Killen has been on and off the table more times than a set of cutlery and is again an injury doubt for the game at Brentford. He was substituted at half-time against Colchester as he suffered another recurrance of his long term hamstring problem. Chris has been making steady progress but was put back into the first team after only an hour of reserve team action, surely it would have made sense to ensure that the injury was fully cleared up before bringing him back into the thick of the action.
Manager Brian Talbot commented, “It was more a precaution that he came off against Colchester, but we have been asking a lot of him. He isn’t 100-per-cent ready to play so many games together, so maybe we’ll think twice about doing that in future. Chris has still played only one full 90 minutes this season, but he has done okay considering his history with injuries. The problem is that we want our best players out there as much as possible. I think we would have beaten Colchester if he had stayed on the pitch.”
