Kilkenny boost to squad

The Latics have been boosted by the news that Neil Kilkenny has returned to full training and is almost ready for a return to first team action. Kilkenny has missed the last five games with a thigh injury and the news that his comeback is ahead of schedule is a big bonus for manager John Sheridan. It is hoped that Kilkenny will be able to return to duty in the upcoming game at Cheltenham Town.
John Sheridan said, "I'm expecting Neil back in training and, with one or two others getting fitter as well, the squad is looking quite strong. Our subs' bench is good, and we are a match for anyone in the division when we perform. It's nice to have a few options, but I've said I want a settled team and I want us to win a few more games. That way there's no need to change things too much. I've already tinkered too much for my own liking."
