Two key players could be missing this weekend from the Mansfield game. David Beharall (pictured) and Chris Killen have both been hit by injury after the Worthington Cup win over Notts County. Beharall has a calf strain and manager Iain Dowie said his chances of playing would go “right to the wire”. Killen has a hamstring problem and could miss his first game after signing from Manchester City.

Speaking of the victory, Dowie said, “It was a long way from being our best performance, but the important thing is that we are through. With the opportunities we had, we probably should have scored six or seven. I’ve never been worried about our ability to create chances, and I thought the manner in which we did it was excellent. But we weren’t solid enough at the back and that’s something we have to put right as quickly as possible."

We had to change things round a bit because Darren Sheridan and John Eyre both had slight injuries and I didn’t want to risk anything. Matty Appleby was also missing with his suspension, but John Sheridan came in and showed that his mind is as bright as ever.”
