Former Latics manager Darren Kelly has been appointed as FC Halifax Town boss. He becomes only the third permanent manager since the new club was formed in 2008/09. Neil Aspin recently departed from the post and Kelly has agreed terms for the rest of this season, with an option to extend. Another ex-Latics coach, Jim Harvey, has also joined as his assistant.
Kelly said, "I am delighted to be joining such an historic club. This is a fantastic opportunity for me and I am excited about the challenge we have ahead of us.
Halifax chairman David Bosomworth added, "We are delighted to welcome both Darren and Jim to the football club. They are both highly regarded within the game and we are confident they have the drive and ambition to take this club forward."
