Goalkeeper Alex Cisak has been signed from Accrington Stanley. The 22-year-old keeper has signed a two year contract at Boundary Park and the Latics have agreed a compensation package with Accrington as he was under the age of 24.
Cisak commented, “At the end of the season my contract at Accrington came to an end and I decided the time was right to move on. I received a call from Paul Dickov) and after meeting him liked the vision he has for the club. I thought it looked very good which is why I decided to come here. I had the chance to go back to Australia to play in the 'A' League, but decided it was the best for my career at the moment is to stay in England.”
“Last season was important for my development as I needed to get games under my belt and experience what real football is about. I enjoyed my time at Accrington and would like to thank John Coleman for letting me play and trusting me. I think I proved I am good enough to play and I just want to show everyone here what I can do.”
