The Latics will be required to play in the first round tie in the Johnson's Paint Trophy.

The draw for teams who get byes has been made and Oldham have been put in the Northern Section West with Accrington Stanley, Bury, Carlisle United, Crewe Alexandra, Morecambe, Stockport County and Walsall.
