Paul Jones has decided to call it a day after being plagued with shin problems and having undergone numerous operations. Jones joined the Latics from non-league Leigh RMI in 1999 and has only played 32 games. After taking medical advice he has had to accept the decision of the specialist to retire from the game. He is expected to pursue off field business interests.
