Latics manager Lee Johnson was upbeat after the impressive 1-0 victory at Scunthorpe. His team take on second placed Swindon Town tonight at Boundary Park and the boss is hoping to keep up the pressure.
He said, "They have got the best individual players but we have as well. They are beatable if you catch them on the right day and we have to make sure it is our day. It's up to everybody at the club to try and make that happen. We are a side that have a lot of belief in each other. Swindon don't like playing against us and that is for definite because we've had some decent results against them. We have to make sure we are right at it because if you do sit off against them then they will definitely get on top because they have some quality individuals. Swindon are a good side and have players who make good decisions on the ball. I'm sure that they will be comfortable in any environment but we have to take advantage of any situation that we can to level the game off. We are not far off them but they are above us in the league and we have to respect that. We've got to make sure our club imposes ourselves on them."
"Rhys Turner has come back and looks good so I'm desperate to get him some games somewhere so he will be one to loan out. Jordan Bove is coming back from his loan and we'd like Adam Lockwood to get a couple of games, but not for too long, because we feel he will important for the run in. We will certainly be looking to do a little bit of movement here and there to benefit us going into the last 18 games. If we do need someone then we will bring them in. We are always monitoring in the market although we are not completely active at the moment. There is always an opportunity to get people out and bring people in. It's a tight division. A couple of wins in the little block and you look like you're flying and a couple of losses and you look in trouble. We have to keep our feet on the ground and keep churning out better performances each week. Get rid of the Barnsley type performance and have more of the Notts County and Scunthorpe performances."
