Lee Johnson returned to Oldham and his new Barnsley team ran away with all three points after a 3-1 victory. He was faced with some spectators who gave him a lot of verbal abuse for 'jumping ship' on the club. When asked what it was like going back he said, "It was tough if I'm honest. Of course it was fantastic to get the win and that's what it is about, but it was not easy. It was very raw as you could tell and it was just a case of trying to be as professional as I could and get on with the game."
"I enjoyed the first 15-20 minutes as I thought the lads had to play the atmosphere and I thought they played it very well. We didn't have too much going forward but we had a nice shape and limited them to pretty much nothing and then we scored the goal. I don't think it was a great game today. It was certainly passionate and charged, but it wasn't a great game in terms of quality from either side in my opinion. But we've been professional, scored a couple from set pieces and won the game which is what we came to do."
