Wales International leftback Joe Jacobson has signed a contact to keep him at Boundary Park until the summer of 2011. Jacobson is 22 and has been with Bristol Rovers for two years and has appeared in 59 games for them. He is an international team-mate of Neal Eardley who has sold the Latics to him who's preferred position is left back although he can fill in anywhere on the left.
Jacobson told the official website, "I feel great and cannot wait to get training wirth the rest of the lads. Obviously I already know Neal Eardley very well from my involvement with the Wales under 21 team. Oldham are a big club and new manager Dave Penny has a reputation of getting the best out of players... that suits me fine. I can't wait to show Latics fans just what I can bring to the party."
