It's Millwall at home

Athletic will kick off the new 2008-2009 with a home game against Millwall on 9th. August. Their next league game will be at Elland Road on 16th.August when Athletic take on Leeds United. Sandwiched between those fixtures is the short trip to Rochdale for the first-round tie in the Carling Cup.

The Latics travel to Tranmere Rovers on 6th September and they visit the Galpharm Stadium in the new year fixture. Stockport County will be visited on 4th. October with the return at Boundary Park on 24th. January and Leicester will be entertained on 18th. October with the return at the Walker Stadium on 7th. February.

The last game of the season sees the Latics travel to Walsall on 2nd. May.
