Athletic will entertain Championship side Middlesbrough in the first round of the League Cup and manager Lee Johnson believes that Boro will be a stern test. The tie will take place in the week beginning 11th August.
Johnson commented, “It's a good game against quality Championship opposition. I'm looking forward to meeting Boro's manager as I have heard many good things about him. It will be a clash that will be a big test for our players but one they should look forward to.”
