Paul Murray (pictured) has seen a specialist about his knee injury and has now had the brace removed from his leg. If all goes well he will step up his training programme and could be ready for first team duties within six weeks.
Dean Holden continued his return to action when he appeared in the 1-0 reserves win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Meanwhile Chris Killen is hoping to recover from his hamstring problem for the Bristol City clash as he was forced to miss the 6-1 rout of Mansfield on Saturday.
