Manager John Sheridan was concious that his side were inferior to the visiting Bradford City in last Saturdays game. He commented, “Bradford were the better team and you can see why they are up there. It was a difficult game for us but in the first half there wasn't much in the game. We got the goal just before half time but the disappointing thing is the two goals we conceded. We have worked hard to stop them playing through us because they move the ball well, but it's disappointing to lose from two set plays. The lads worked their socks off so I can't fault their effort again.”
“I just didn't think we really got going, but there was a lot of heart and endeavour and that's what might keep us in this division. I've just told them to keep their heads up and don't beat themselves up too much. Sometimes you've just got to accept that the better team won. We move on now. I've got another week to work with my players so we will work on our shape, see what we can do and hopefully affect the game at Chesterfield. We go there and we will try and win. It's important we go away from home and get something from the game.”
