Midfielder Mark Hughes is the latest player to join the exodus from Boundary Park. Hughes joined the Latics full time in May 2005 after a successful loan spell from Tottenham Hotspurs. The 23 year old was under contract until the end of the season but has agreed to terminate the deal. He did not fit into manager John Sheridans plans and the writing has been on the wall for some time. Hughes will immediately become a free agent and has had his contract paid up by the club. Mark also appeared for Northern Ireland as well as making a total of 73 senior appearances for the Latics.
