Tuesday's home game against Rotherham United was another night of disaster at Boundary Park as they went down again, this time by 2-0. There really seems to be a home jinx this season or else the team just don't like performing in front of their own fans.
The manager was rightly disappointed and said, "We were a bit depleted with our squad and I think that showed. I thought we were physically weaker than them but I thought the endeavour was there. We had some chances in the first half, which we should have put away but it wasn't to be. We've got to stick together now. We knew that it was going to be a tough two games because they are strong sides. We have to go to Crewe now and try and get a bit of help in with renewed vigour. We need some help in the squad and we'll be trying our best this week to bring some new players in before Saturday's game."
"We've got ten important games remaining now. I'm very disappointed, but I can't say shocked, because we're physically weak and I knew that today. You can get away with two or three players not being strong enough but not seven or eight but we'll address that. I won't shy away from anything. I'm a fighter and I know what it takes. I've been disappointed with a couple of people I've given contracts to but that's my fault and I'll address that."
