Holden out for season

Dean Holden has played his last game of the campaign. Troubled for some time with a thigh injury he has undergone surgery which involved stitching the thigh muscles together in an effort to prevent them from tearing.

Dean joined the Latics on a free transfer from Bolton last summer but he has been plagued with this injury from pre-season training. Further problems have hindered his progress all season and he is now ruled out for the remainder of this campaign. With rehabilitation he hopes to return when the team start pre-season training for the 2003/2004 season, hopefully in preparation for the First Division.
