Hill goes!

Clint Hill has signed for Stoke City. This move could knock another nail into Athletic’s coffin. What incentive do potential investors have when all the club’s assets are being disposed of? 24 year old Hill has agreed to a three-year contract at the Britannia Stadium subject to a successful medical. He will join his new team mates for Tuesday’s friendly against Stafford Rangers.

The former Tranmere centre-back has been signed for an undisclosed six-figure fee. Stoke’s Director of Football John Rudge said, “Clint is a player we have been interested in for some time. He was very highly-rated at Tranmere and tipped for a career in the Premiership. Although he is still young he has the experience of plenty of league games behind him. We were looking for his type of player after releasing Sergei Shtaniuk to return to Russia and in Clint we think we have an ideal replacement.”

The bell is tolling!!!!
