Here we go again!

Here we go again! Lee Duxbury is to join Bury on a two year deal. The out of contract player and former Latics captain has been working as a player coach with the youth team. Duxbury flew back from the Northern Ireland tour to have talks with Bury before agreeing to the move.

Tony Philliskirk said, “It's a massive loss but Bury have offered Lee a two year playing deal and he was out of contract here and has not been paid for last month. Good luck to him. He's a fantastic lad who is great around the dressing room and I wish him every success.”

Duxbury commented, “I am very disappointed that my time with Latics looks like being over but, at the end of the day, I cannot keep holding on. I haven’t been paid for six weeks and I have bills that need paying. I have had sleepless nights worrying about what will happen. One man is to blame for the troubles and it is my view that he is trying to destroy the club. He wants to leave them with the least number of players, but what he has to remember is that he is messing with people’s lives.”
