Colin Hendry is still in the hunt to sign Scott Vernon after he enjoyed a successful loan spell at Blackpool back in September. Brian Talbot has already refused an offer of £50,000 but Vernon is out of contract in May and Talbot is keen to retain the services of the talented youngster. Talbot said, “He's a young player. He's learning. He scores. We all know he's got to work on certain aspects of his game as all young players have but we've got to see how he develops and I don't see there's any sense in letting Scott Vernon leave the club.”
