Heffernan bid accepted

Bristol City have accepted an undisclosed bid from Athletic, thought to be in the region of £60,000, for 23 year old Paul Heffernan. Still under contract with Bristol, Heffernan scored 21 goals for Notts County two seasons ago when he made a name for himself. With Steve Brooker and Leroy Lita being so prominent for Bristol last season, Hefernan was forced to spend much of the season on the bench, although he still managed a useful seven goals in thirteen starts.
