Athletic Chief Executive Alan Hardy has been suspended from his duties at Boundary Park. The suspension, on full pay, was a result of disciplinary action from Chris Moore. When goalkeeper Duncan Roberts was signed as cover last month Mr. Hardy gave Iain Dowie the okay but Moore was furious as he hadn’t sanctioned the move. Moore is currently covering a loss of £50,000 per week from his own pocket and didn’t want the addition to the wage bill, albeit on a short term non-contract form. Mr. Hardy has been at Athletic for around 20 years and is still a director of the club, a position he is expected to continue to hold.
