Hall honoured

Fitz Hall, Athletic’s exciting new centre half, is to be named in the PFA Players ‘Team of the Season’ for the Second Division. An awards ceremony will take place in London on Sunday night and Hall will be there to receive his recognition.
After the 4-0 thrashing of Swindon, Latics manager Iain Dowie commented, “Fitzs' inclusion is well deserved. All the players in the 2nd division have voted who they think is the best centre half in the league and Fitz is one of the two. He's on a learning curve. I thought he was majestic today. His defending, some of his interceptions, his desire to do it and his passing was excellent. I brought the young lads out who were having their dinner the other day and stood them on the steps. There was Fitz Hall on the training ground with a bag of balls and practising things he thought he hadn't done well. That's fantastic and so is his drive to want to do better.”
