Midfielder Paul Green has put pen to paper on a one-year contract with the Latics after being on trial. He began his career with Doncaster Rovers where he amassed over 250 appearances, while scoring 33 goals. He moved on to Derby County and then to Leeds United, Ipswich Town and Rotherham United.
Green has also represented the Republic of Ireland 20 times and scored one goal. The 33-year-old, helped Doncaster to rise from non-league football to the Championship. Green was released from Rotherham after helping to secure their status in the Championship. The experienced player has notched a total of 545 senior appearances, scoring 56 goals.
