"There were some very big performances; the two boys from Blackburn were excellent. Alex has the desire to be successful and Nick has the opportunity now to take his career forwards with us. The change we made, we just felt Dean Furman needed a rest. He's done well since coming here and there's a lot more to come from him this season. I'm very positive and looking forward to Brentford. They've had a good start and they've kept much the same players with which they were promoted last season. They're very well organised but I'm sure we can go there and look to get three points."
Gray expresses disappointment
Assistant manager Martin Gray spoke to Latics Player to express his disappointment at the two points thrown away in the Swindon home game. He said, "It was two points lost on Saturday and I'm very, very disappointed. We were well in control for big periods of the game and I've said to the manager, after just 16 minutes, we've created four clear chances. You have to be taking two out of the four to be successful. Throughout the game we have to simply start taking our chances, out of the four performances I think we could have won three. I'm greedy. If I can get 12 out of 12 then I'd want that."
