The ex-Latics centre forward, Frank Large died yesterday at the age of 63. Big Frank made his debut for Oldham against Shrewsbury Town on New Years Day, 1966. Large was a much travelled striker and was a popular performer at Boundary Park. He had scored 18 goals in 34 appearances when Athletic let him go to Northampton Town for £14,000, a fee almost double what they paid for him. RIP Frank.
