Edwards to miss Brentford game

Paul Edwards will miss the FA Cup second round tie at home to Brentford on Saturday after picking up a red card at Yeovil. He had two yellow card offences in the space of seven minutes which means an automatic ban. A defensive Ronnie Moore said, "I can’t complain about the second booking because it was a definite foul, but he shouldn’t have been on a yellow card at the time. The first tackle was clean and he won the ball, although he did go in with his wrong foot. There was no need for the referee to show a card and I feel a bit sorry for Paul."

"He has done well since he broke into the team and has that lovely thing which defenders fear – pace. Fortunately his sending off didn’t affect the result, and I thought the lads put in a good, professional display. We weren’t flattered by a 2-0 win and might have scored more goals with a bit of luck. The two we did score were excellent. They showed what you can achieve by getting the ball out wide and providing good service to your forwards. Andy Liddell did magnificently to set them up and Paul Warne’s finishing was clinical both times."
