Neal Eardley (pictured) suffered a blow to his head in the win at Tranmere and had to go off with suspected mild concussion. Eardley has been given the boost that might make him feel better with the news that he has been included in the Wales squad for the upcoming Euro 2008 qualifiers although he will now be unavailable for tomorrow's FA Cup first round tie at home to Doncaster.
Wales face the Republic of Ireland at the Millennium Stadium on November 17th. and then travel to play Germany at the Waldstadion in Frankfurt on November 21st. As a result, Eardley will miss the Latics game with Port Vale on November 17th.
Also missing from the FA Cup clash will be Neil Kilkenny who has been called up for Australia.
