The FA disciplinary panel were condemned by Iain Dowie after they refused Athletic’s appeal to overturn Clint Hill’s sending off. Dowie said, “I find it incomprehensible. There was nothing reckless about the tackle so the decision is totally wrong. It’s a big disappointment. You see these things overturned in the Premiership, but players in the lower divisions seem to be treated differently.”
