Dowie drops claim

Former manager Iain Dowie has dropped the claim against Athletic for unpaid monies, a claim which was brought up when the club asked for their car back when Dowie left the club to join Crystal Palace. Dowie claimed he was owed almost £80,000 – a £50,000 play-off bonus from the ‘almost’ year and £29,625 as his percentage from the transfers of Fitz Hall and Josh Low.

An employment tribunal hearing between Dowie and the club was due to take place today but has now been cancelled. Any dispute between both parties have been settled to a final conclusion.
