Paul Dickov was quick to praise his team after the morale-boosting victory at Portsmouth. He said, “There have been a lot of questions asked of the players this week. The best way, when that happens, is to put a performance in that shows how together they are and how determined they are to go and get a result. We mixed it up a lot better than we have been doing recently. We got behind them and then played the football in their half when we had to.”
Dean Furman also revealed, “There has been quite a lot going on in the week. But we had a little chat and we are very strong as a group. We are fighting as a team, fighting for the club and nobody is more upset when we lose. We came into the season with a lot of confidence and for one reason or another that has slightly gone away from us. Hopefully, this is the real start for us and we can kick on from here.”
