Latics manager Paul Dickov was delighted with the victory over Swindon Town. He said, “Swindon are one of the best teams I have seen in this division this season so to win, put in a performance like we did and keep a clean sheet delights me, especially after the setback of the two defeats. They showed character, they are a team, theyare together and want to work for each other. They have a massive desire to succeed. They are a great bunch of lads and want to do things right.”
“My two centre backs were excellent as were the whole team as everybody did their jobs. I would not say we were outstanding, but the workout and the desire of the players to do the right things, especially after two defeats is pleasing. We cut out the silly mistakes because too many times this season I have been talking about individual errors. There were none from any of my players today.”
