The Latics boss has told his team to forget about the disappointment of missing out on a trip to Wembley and to concentrate on the remainder of the season.
Dickov laid it out by saying, “There are still 20 League games left and a lot of points to play for. We have spoken to the players this week and emphasised the importance of pushing up the table. We need to start winning games again and getting our season back on track and to finish the season on a high now the distraction of the cup competitions have gone. We want progression from last season, which we have had to a certain extent in the cups, but I want to finish a lot higher in the League. We have a lot of players who are out of contact in the summer and, if we are remotely successful on the pitch, there is more chance they will want to stay.”
