Craig Davies was delighted with the outcome of Saturday's opening victory over Swansea City. He told the official website, "I think everyone's very happy. The main thing is we got the three points. I don't think Swansea deserved to lose, but games like that will probably happen to us this season so we'll take this."

His match winning goal came in the final minute of the game after a superb cross from Deane Smalley left him with a close range header which he made look simple. Davies went on, "I gambled a little bit, but I did see the flight of the ball coming in. I pulled off the back post a bit thinking the ball would come in high, and Deane put an unbelievable ball in. The next thing I knew it was right in front of me, and all I had to do was knock it in. Personally this was a great start for me, but the main thing is the team has done well and we've got three points on the board. We'll go home thinking we've done our job today, but there's more to come from us. We will have to beat good sides like Swansea if we want to push on."
