Croft signs two year deal

Any lingering hopes that Manchester City winger Lee Croft may return to the Latics have been dashed as he has signed a two year contract extension with City. Croft fondly remembers his time on loan at Boundary Park and can usually be seen in the stands when he is not in action with City. 20 year old Croft has made 19 senior appearances for the Eastlands team this season, mainly as a substitute.
He became an integral part of the Latics team last term when they went on their best run of the season, including knocking Manchester City out of the FA Cup. Croft's current contract expired at the end of this season and City boss Stuart Pearce was keen to keep the highly rated youngster tied with the club.
