Today’s Bristol Rovers match up will probably be played without the influence of Lee Croft. His on-going back problem which made him miss the Scunthorpe game still needs time to heal. Stephen Robinson praised his replacement Cameron Burgess for an outstanding game against Scunthorpe, particularly as he suffered some scathing remarks after his performance against Bolton Wanderers.
Robinson commented, “For a young boy, when you make a mistake - and Cameron wasn't the only one at fault for the goal at Bolton, I would point out, as the whole team didn't react and were ball-watching - he showed terrific character. At the start of the game, he gave the ball away a couple of times, but then grew into it and it shows the strength of character of the boy. He is only 20 years of age, but he is getting better and better and learning from his mistakes. That's what we can do, build on performances and improve players as we go.”
