Midfielder Ernie Cooksey will miss the the start of the season as he is to begin a ban which he picked up whilst playing for Crawley. The four match suspension has been carried over to the start of the 2003/2004 season and means that Cooksey will miss the opening game of the season against Brighton, Scunthorpe United (A) in the 1st. round of the Carling Cup, Sheffield Wednesday (A) and Blackpool (H).
