Athletic have appointed Mark Moisley as their new commercial director. Mr. Moisley previously worked with Sunderland AFC and IMG and his role is to develop and implement a strategic plan to grow the Oldham Athletic fan base and to also maximise all commercial revenues.
Moisley commented, "I'm delighted to be here and to have got started at the club. I have known since early December that I would be joining and it has been a frustrating few weeks waiting to come on board. I have thoroughly enjoyed the first week and the board, manager, all the staff, along with a number of supporters, have made me very welcome. I was disappointed the game on Tuesday was called off, but it has given me more time to settle in. We know that there is a lot of work to do, and many challenges ahead, but I am looking forward to it and will be doing everything possible to make a difference at the club. We have had very positive meetings this week regarding the new stand and the way the club is moving forward in general at the moment."
"I'm very keen in the coming weeks to meet as many of the fans and local businesses as possible. We need to be working closely with both to ensure the football club can make the most of opportunities in the area and nationwide. As the club progresses on the field, we need to put structures in place off the field to ensure we are maximising our revenue streams and in a strong a financial position as possible to enable us to support the manager and the team."
