Clyde Wijnhard on trial at Oldham
Last updated : 09 August 2004 By Cory Hazlehurst
The Dutchman has been at Portuguese side Beira Mar, where he signed a two-year contract after leaving Oldham in summer 2003. But his contract was cancelled by mutual consent after a dispute with the club’s President. Clyde is now looking for a side in England, and Brian Talbot is giving him an opportunity to earn a deal.
The former Leeds hitman scored 13 goals for Oldham in the 2002/3 season, and trained with Athletic on Friday before the 2-1 loss to Luton. He should also be training with the side today (Monday), and wait for a decision on his future to be made.
