Michael Clegg is back in training as Athletic build up to Saturday’s big kick-off against Cardiff. Clegg injured his ankle in a pre-season friendly at Burnley and has missed three weeks of training. He last played on March 16th. in the home debacle with Cardiff and then lost his place to Dean Holden. Dowie has been pleased with Clegg’s form in pre-season and he is the only recognised player to fill the right wing-back spot he may opt to play him. If Low signs he would be another option but Cardiff may block the prospect of facing their ex-player so soon.
