The Latics mascot, Chaddy the Owl, won the Mascot Grand National in Huntingdon and claimed the honour of being the fastest mascot in the UK. Chaddy began as favourite at 40-1 but the odds were soon reduced to 8-1. Chaddy said, “I know the lads on the field are going to lift some silverware this year but I wanted to beat them before they did it. This is definitely our year! Hopefully Oldham is a richer place this afternoon as I know a lot of Latics fans backed me to win. Next time they see me in town they can buy me a pint of Owl juice! I can't wait for the next home game. I will be doing a lap of honour and I want all of my supporters to be there. So mums and dads make sure your kids are at the game!”
Chaddy will hopefully be showing off his silverware at half time in the Luton game.
