Carling Cup draw

The draw for the first round of the Carling Cup will be made on Friday. As the draw is regionalised, the Latics could meet good local opposition.

Last season the Latics beat Mansfield Town 4-1 in the first round but got knocked out 3-0 by Burnley in the next round.
