Butcher back at Boundary Park?

It is looking more like midfielder Richard Butcher will be back at Boundary Park after interest from an unknown League One club had failed to materialise. Butcher has completed a one month loan spell at League Two club Lincoln City but the Imps have failed to agree with arrangements for an extension for a second month.
The treatment of Butcher by the Latics fans has been well documented but he didn't help his cause by admitting that his heart lay in Lincoln and that he would welcome a permanent move back there, in effect snubbing his current employers. The 24 year old will be back in training with Athletic unless something happens very quickly.
