J W Lees have sponsored the club over the past few years through their advertising campaigns and both parties talked about the continuing support of the club. Initial talks suggest that it is expected that this financial sponsorship will continue and Alan Hardy commented, “Our meeting was very encouraging. JW Lees have helped the Club in the past and are, of course, supporters of Latics. We look forward to a further meeting to discuss the way forward.”
