Striker Jonathan Benteke is another player who has signed a short-term deal until the end of the season. Benteke, from Belgium, began his career with Standard Liège and then joined Visé in the Belgian Second Division where he made 20 appearances with two goals. This was followed with a move to the Belgian First Division side Zulte-Waregem where he played 25 times with two goals.
He is the brother of Christian Benteke and joined him at Crystal Palace in 2016 but he only made one Premier League appearance because of injury. If international clearance is received he will be available for Saturday’s game at Blackburn Rovers.
