Beckett doubt for Colchester game

Luke Beckett has missed training in the build up to tomorrow's crucial clash with Colchester. He has picked up a bug from his children but hopes to be fit for the game. Ronnie Moore said, “Luke telephoned in yesterday saying he was sick, so we told him not to come in today. It is a worry because he has scored eight goals in his last 13 games and is a player in form and we need him nice and sharp for Saturday. If we win it reduces the gap between Colchester and ourselves to three points. But if we lose it becomes nine points and, with their superior points different, that will be effectively be 10 points which means there is a lot of ground to make up. If we can win we will be within striking distance of three or four clubs and that would put pressure on those teams."
"We watched Colchester at Swansea in the LDV Vans Trophy on Tuesday and they were unfortunate to lose 1-0. They have had some very tough games and will be disappointed, but they are desperate to get back to winning ways after their little hiccup. They are a big, strong side, but they will be wary of us as we are in a decent run of form. We have nothing to be frightened of and I want us to go out and be brave and positive.”
