Athletic have been linked with Gifton Noel-Williams. Noel-Williams (25) from Stoke City is currently out of contract and finished the season at the Britannia Stadium as top scorer with 13 goals. He played for the England youth team after starting his career at Watford and Stoke are keen on retaining his services, but it appears that he is in need of a move. Burnley have tried to negotiate a Bosman signing and other clubs are also showing an interest. Talks with Luke Beckett are still ongoing but Athletic need a recognised striker and Noel-Williams fits into that category.
