Ashworths signs partnership

It’s a hard one for the fans to swallow. After paying up front for season tickets, the Latics have ditched Pukka Pies and taken on new pie suppliers. Could there be demonstrations outside Boundary Park? We want our money back!! We want Hollands!!! Do the owners not understand the significance of a pie and a pint before the game? It’s tradition and superstition all rolled into one, just like sitting in the same seat every game and wearing your lucky tangerine scalf.

However, Ashworths have signed an exclusive partnership to become Latics official pie supplier at Boundary Park. Sean Jarvis told the official site, “The contract for the supply of our pies was open for tender. And after meeting with four possible contenders it was felt that Ashworth's were the best option for the club. They demonstrated a high level of customer service and a quality product. As part of their exclusive agreement Ashworths will be undertaking a considerable amount of sponsorship with the club including becoming title sponsors of the programme for the 2005/2006 season.”
