And the winner is.........

Congratulations go out to Pam Griffith from Failsworth who correctly answered that David Ashworth and Herbert Bamlett were the two managers who managed Athletic before World War One started. The competition was a difficult one to judge, due to the uncertainty of exactly WHEN World War One commenced. As a result, all entries to the competition were entered into the draw for the winning entry.

28 July 1914: Austria declared war on Serbia.
1 August 1914: Germany declared war on Russsia.
3 August 1914: Germany declared war on France. WWI had begun.
4 August 1914: Britain declares war on Germany.

Pam wins a copy of "The Who's Who of Oldham Athletic and as such becomes a part of Athletic's history.
